Last weekend, we went up to the North Shore. It was a blast, we camped in the National Forest, made spaghetti on the lake's beach, drove a long time in the car jamming to music, joked around, went hiking, enjoyed the scenery, and of course, hiked up the Kadunce River (Creek to those of us who are around Erik, I personally like the sound of creek better) we climbed up the waterfalls and got royally wet. It was beautiful, it looked like another world, and for a time up north, we all forgot that we were in Minnesota and forgot that there was such thing as 6 month snow weather, but instead were reminded of the beautiful aspects of this state. The weekend went way too fast, but each moment was thoroughly enjoyed. As soon as we got back to our cars, it started raining, we went and enjoyed some pizza, and then set up camp in the rain. We were so lucky to have a couple of extra tarps, so we were able to enjoy the fire even though it rained all night long. Getting back to school, we were super tired and dirty, a shower felt so good, but we all look back at the weekend with a smile on our face, wishing we could live it all over again. Good thing that there are such things as pictures, but then again, they just don't do justice.
