I can't believe that the summer is almost over. Only two weeks of work left and we will be heading back to school. Miriam and I have been working a lot these last couple of weeks at the YMCA, its been a blast, and I am sad that its almost over. After all these weeks, I feel like a parent. Last night we put a couch together for our apartment at school, it was a perfect summer evening, warm breeze, crickets chirping (Brad, they always make me think of you) smell of grass, the gentle hum of traffic and police sirens in the back ground. Miriam and I taught some friends from work how to play WANTED it had been years since we had played, and it was really fun to get more people into playing the game. For me this summer was one of growth and slow maturing, I think when I look back at it I will see all the changes happening and knowing that I am slowly becoming more and more independent and more of an adult. It was one where I am learning to trust God for every day things, and for the future. God has opened the doors for us this summer with this job, and showed us again His faithfulness! (If you have the time, check out the song "All Night Long" by Lionel Richie on YouTube, that's Miriam and my theme song for the summer, long live the 80's)
